On Tuesday, February 26, the Lakeside and LEHS Bands will be presenting a Pre-UIL Concert in the LEHS Auditorium. The various performances will take place every half hour. Please see the time schedule below:
Lakeside Concert A – 6:30 pm
Lakeside Symphonic – 7:00 pm
Lakeside Honors – 7:30 pm
LEHS Symphonic – 8:00 pm
LEHS Wind Ensemble – 8:30 pm
Band students need to check with their director for a report time. Students should be dressed in their formal concert attire. The purpose of this concert is to give each band a performance opportunity on their UIL music, as well receive a critique that will better prepare them for UIL in March and April.

Come enjoy the sounds of our LEHS Band Students as they perform in ensembles or as soloists. The evening will conclude with a performance from our Jazz Ensemble.
Several donations have been received for our Silent Auction. Be sure to stop by the silent auction tables to bid on your favorite item.
UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Liberty High School (Frisco) will once again host the contest. The deadline for entry by the students is Tuesday, January 8. Please see a band director to make sure you have been entered. Fees for solos and ensembles must be turned in to a director by Friday, January 18. Fees will be discussed during band classes. Remember, all solos and/or ensembles must be on the UIL Prescribed Music List (grade and ability appropriate) and that original copies are purchased. Directors will arrange for piano accompaniment of all solos.
Come celebrate the season with the LEHS Band as we present our annual CHRISTMAS CONCERT. The concert will take place on Tuesday evening, December 18th, at 7 pm in the LEHS Auditorium. All three of the LEHS Bands, along with the LEHS Jazz Ensemble, will be featured at this concert. Come enjoy the sounds of the holiday season with the LEHS Bands. Merry Christmas!
On Saturday, October 20th, the Lobo Marching Band participated in the UIL Region 24 Marching Contest at Standridge Stadium. The Lobo Band, for the sixth consecutive year and eighth year overall, received a SWEEPSTAKES (straight 1’s by all judges). We are tremendously proud of our students and want to thank the many parents, teachers, and administrators who give much of their time and energy to support our band program at Little Elm High School. Congratulations band on a wonderful performance!
The Little Elm High School Band will be taking its annual Spring Trip to Washington DC this year. The trip will take place from March 8-14, 2013. Please see the attached DC Trip Itinerary and Trip Contract. All contracts are due to the band office by Friday, September 28th. All band parents and students will be notified of future meetings regarding our trip.
The Blue Devils (DCI) have once again been named the World Champions of Drum Corp International. This past Saturday night, the Blue Devils maintained their lead over Carolina Crown (Silver Medalist) to become World Champions for the 15th time. A special congratulations to the three Lobo Band Alumni who had a spectacular season and can now call themselves world champions; Michael Alonzo, Kris Galbreath, and Cody Pavlus-Newell. We are so proud of our amazing LEHS graduates!

It is essential to the success of our band program, that all 2012 LEHS Band members attend all summer camp rehearsals. The LEHS Band Banquet will be held at the Westin Stonebriar on Friday, May 25th. The Banquet will begin at 6:30 pm, with dinner service starting at 7:00 pm. The theme for this year’s banquet is “An Evening in Paris.” This is a formal event for our band students, which will highlight their musical accomplishments and successes during the 2011-2012 school year. Information regarding ticket prices was sent home with all band students. All ticket orders for the 2012 Band Banquet are now due. Hope to see YOU there!
